Proxy Voting Specialist – About the Role

The Proxy Voting Team protects fund interests by observing ESG impact and governance policies of companies across our Portfolios.

Position Summary

You’ll support end-to-end proxy voting execution—ballot tracking, voting planning, and execution—driving efficiency while managing data reconciliations and adeptly overseeing governance and compliance standards. Reporting to the ** Head of Proxy Voting **, you’ll thrive by learning advanced procedures, collaborating with custodians and brokers, while prioritising accuracy in high-frequency environments.

Seeking a candidate with backend investment ops exposure, to develop expertise in proxy specialist operations. Desirable: exposure to regulated corporate votes or ESG issues.

As part of Man’s neworg investment operations teams, your efforts matter—not just to the firm, but to millions of** retirees and long-term savers** Influencing each resume invested.


Key Responsibilities

  • Proxy Execution: Supporting voting execution under deadlines, spanning ballot monitoring, client instructions and system-driven issue voting, via dedicated software platforms (e.g., Glass Lewis agent tools or Bodley and Sons). Ensure accuracy of client vote distributions while verifying consumer power feeds.
  • Financial Safeguards: Mitigating voting deficits by reconciling multi-custodian records, managing failures without client impact, reconciling, and ensuring backdate accuracy.
  • Process and Compliance Support: Safeguarding regulatory adherence with voting activities vulnerabilities (e.g., UCITS, Mifid 2 requirements). Identifying and reporting regulatory discrepancies to the governance and compliance team early.
  • Data Quality & Integration: Contributing to System to System Voting InformationAlignment (S2S-toi) efforts, supporting structured and unambiguous reporting for funds managed by CONTROL systems (Al Andorra, TRACE or backlog tools).
  • Reporting Demands: Providing comprehensive dashboards to internal and client stakeholders via dynamic process efficiency reports, managing voting risk and efficiency.
  • Proto-Collaboration: Acting as first point of call for queries from officers in enterprise frameworks like Man AHL, TAM market research, Solis, and divisions like Rapp Finance or QA Risk Service. Managing external proxy agents, data vendor liaisons, and overseeing system onboarding.
  • Student Support Quality: Championing continuous improvement with applications wereCommunity projects, streamlining voting workflows and error rates.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ ops-level experience, with prior related roles in custody services, fund servicing, voting operations, corporate actions, or broker services exposure.
  • Direct proxy experience (including ballot duties, compliance reporting) ** Juneگار** desirable.
  • Strong financial w qualification skills applicable to basics and capital markets, familiarisation with fund structures and holdings.
  • De degree accurate observation and, organisational judgement—speed critical with accuracy assured during busy periods.
  • Precision in setting benchmarks to WC working with main custodians: AMND, Citi, EBS, ExBal, IFGS, and Stemς Risk Management.
  • Excellent communicator who works both collaboratively and independently process-driven mindsets.

Minimum Requirements

✓ Education : Degree preferred but not strict, with at least basic proficiency in accounting or financial modeling. ✓ Detailing Mastery : Proven accuracy in scenarios ranging from mass polling submissions to exception handling. Methodic approach critical.
