FIXED TERM CONSULTANT INTENSIVIST
FIXED TERM 1 YEAR
FULL TIME, FLEXIBLE OR PART-TIME APPOINTMENT
DR GRAY’S HOSPITAL, ELGIN, Scotland
This full-time post will primarily be based at Dr Gray’s Hospital, High Dependency Unit.
Dr Gray’s Hospital is a District General Hospital situated in Elgin in the North-East of Scotland. Inverness lies 35 miles to the West with Aberdeen 65 miles to the East.
Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post). For more information visit
Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview.
CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) or Portfolio Pathway route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive Consultant post once CESR or Portfolio Pathway specialist registration is awarded. Those with an International Recognised Specialist Qualification approved by GMC should have a confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register.

Key Worker Housing Support
Moray Council are offering temporary accommodation for key workers moving to Moray to support recruitment in the public sector, including NHS roles. This opportunity is designed to help individuals who are unable to secure housing locally while starting their new job.
- Applicants must be filling a public sector role such as NHS healthcare professionals eg Consultants, Nurses, Physiotherapists where local skills shortages exist.
- You must be moving to Moray from outside the area and must be willing to accept a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy (SSST), which is a temporary housing arrangement.
- Key worker points will be awarded based on employer confirmation of recruitment need, and housing will be provided for a minimum of six months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.
