About the Role
The successful candidate will develop an in-depth knowledge of Socomec’s Power Switching & Monitoring (PSM) product range and a strong understanding of the markets and applications in which these solutions are used. The role requires a balance of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and relationship management to support growth within the territory.
Key Responsibilities
The Role Will Involve Building a Solid Understanding Of
- Applications and use cases for Socomec PSM solutions
- Key target customers and sectors for PSM products
- The strategic and operational objectives of Socomec’s PSM Business Line
- The differing requirements of project-based versus channel-based business
- The competitive landscape and Socomec’s key differentiators
You Will Also
- Manage and support existing partners within the territory, assisting with their day-to-day commercial and technical activities
- Generate and develop sales opportunities for PSM products within the territory
- Prepare, manage, and follow up on quotations
- Act as a PSM specialist, working closely with pre-sales and technical teams to ensure customer expectations are met
- Present new Socomec technologies to major end users, consultants, design-and-build contractors, and specifiers, clearly demonstrating the benefits of Socomec solutions
- Collaborate with colleagues across Critical Power, Energy Efficiency, Power Control & Safety, and Energy Storage to maximise the value of each opportunity
- Develop a strong understanding of how Socomec products integrate within a customer’s electrical infrastructure
- Clearly articulate the technical and financial benefits of Socomec solutions and how these compare to competing offers
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company

Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical sales role within the electrical engineering sector, selling comparable products
- Experience selling through the IT channel or working with specialist electrical VARs would be advantageous
- Electrical or electronic engineering qualification/background is essential
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
