Position: PSV/HGV Mechanic Location: Ipswich, IP4 1AD Contract: 39 hours per week - permanent & full time Working Hours: 5 days over 7 - rotating schedule of 07:00-15:00 one week then 12:00-20:00 the next week Hourly Rate: £20.12 per hour with a weekend premium rate of £21.14 per hour Salary: Approx. £40,803 per annum BONUS: £2000 NEW RECRUIT JOINING BONUS!!!*

About the Role - *£2000 NEW RECRUIT JOINING BONUS!!!
We are now looking for an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic for our First Bus Ipswich Depot – PSV or HGV mechanical experience is great however we love to hear from Light Vehicle qualified candidates and ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change.

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries where required Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
About You Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair? Do you have a flexible approach to work with the ability to multi skill? Are you a UK driving license holder? A PCV license is desirable however we can help you achieve this
