Psychiatrist

Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT)

Full-Time or Part-Time (flexible hours)

What you will do

The Psychiatrist will be a member of a self-contained interdisciplinary team which utilizes an assertive recovery-oriented outreach model to serve 80 clients. The psychiatrist will share clinical responsibility with the Team Leader, a licensed clinician, for developing and monitoring clinical treatment and supervising staff delivery of clinical services. This is a unique opportunity to be afforded the time to be actively involved in all aspects of client treatment. The Psychiatrist will:

  • Provide medical supervision to nursing staff
  • Conduct staff training
  • Administer psychopharmalogical treatment to PACT clients
  • Offer supportive therapy
  • Perform crisis evaluations
  • Provide consultation to families
  • Handle some administrative responsibilities

Outreach services provided in clients’ homes or other community locations as needed.

Who You Are

  • M.D.
  • Board certified or Board eligible in psychiatry
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts
  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness required
  • Knowledge of PACT model preferred
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Valid driver’s license required
