Exciting Opportunity at HMP Prisons

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us to work at HMP Prisons as part of the multidisciplinary team that offers Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, to the population of HMP Norwich, HMP Bure, and HMP Wayland. A very warm welcome awaits you!

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team.

We welcome interest from those already qualified and would consider a trainee position if prison vetting is already in place.

Qualified applicants will hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Therapies.

You will work as part of a diverse and supportive team of Psychological Therapists, PWPs, nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists. We are able to offer our team members the opportunity to continue to develop their expertise via training and development opportunities in different parts of our service.

THIS POSITION INVOLVES WORKING ACROSS MULTIPLE PRISON SITES SO THEREFORE ABILITY TO DRIVE AND TRAVEL INDEPENDENTLY IS ESSENTIAL AS SOME SITES ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT.

Our service uses an integrated model from arrest to release from prison, thus allowing a PWP’s and the wider team to know the full process and journey of the service user. The role will be based across the 3 prisons.

NSFT Secure Mental Health Services have been consistently rated "Good" by the CQC.

Our secure services form part of a wide and growing body of clinical services operating in a variety of settings linked to criminal justice services. This is not a standalone role, as part of the wider NSFT Secure Services Psychology Team, you will receive excellent clinical supervision alongside professional and governance support.
