Employment Details

- Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary (6 months with possibility of extension or permanency)
- Location: University of Canberra Hospital, Bruce, ACT
- Salary:
- P2 Salary: $91,026 – $117,896 (plus 12.5% Super)
- P3 Salary: $123,014 – $133,492 (plus 12.5% Super)
- Closing Date: 12 July 2024

About the Role
We are seeking a **motivated and skilled Psychologist to join the Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (AMHRU). This dynamic opportunity involves working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, recovery-oriented care in inpatient and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver bio-psychosocial rehabilitation services.
- Support consumers in developing skills for independent living and facilitating community reintegration.
- Maintain a therapeutic and supportive inpatient environment alignment with recovery-focused principles.
- Option to engage with the Adult Mental Health Day Service (AMHDS) at an outpatient level.
- Contribute to rehabilitation planning, ongoing monitoring, and discharge coordination.

Position Requirements
Classification Criteria
- Psychologist Level 2:
- Minimum 12 months of paid, related clinical experience.
- Psychologist Level 3:
- Minimum 3 years (preferably 5) of relevant experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements
All successful candidates must comply with:
- A pre-employment National Police Check.
- Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Policy.
- CHS credentialing and scope of practice requirements for allied health professionals.
