Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the SET CAMHS team within NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a highly skilled Psychological Professional.
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate clinician to provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic interventions for children, young people and families presenting with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties.
The successful post holder will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care across the SET CAMHS pathway. This role offers the opportunity to work with complex and specialist presentations whilst also contributing to service development, consultation, supervision, training and leadership within the team.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for children, adolescents and families presenting with complex emotional and mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Delivering highly specialist therapeutic interventions to children, young people and families
- Providing comprehensive assessments and formulation in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
- Supporting urgent assessments, parenting interventions and complex specialist cases
- Working across a broad range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, self-harm and behavioural difficulties
- Undertaking parent/carer work, psychoeducation, group interventions and brief therapeutic work
- Providing consultation, advice and expert clinical supervision to colleagues across SET CAMHS
- Supporting integrated multi-agency working with health, education and social care partners
- Contributing to audit, service development, clinical governance and outcome monitoring in line with CYP-IAPT principles
- Supporting the training and development of trainees, students and newly appointed staff

The role also includes contributing to the development of a positive, supportive and reflective team culture, ensuring services remain accessible, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of local children, young people and families.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
