Psychology Graduate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant Braintree, Essex | Full-Time | September 2026 Start
Are you a driven Psychology Graduate looking for meaningful, hands-on experience before progressing into teaching, Educational Psychology or child-focused mental-health careers? A nurturing primary school in Braintree is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to join their team as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant this September.
This role is ideal for an aspiring teacher or future child psychologist who wants to apply theory to practice while making a genuine difference to a child's daily school experience.
About the Role
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to a pupil with additional learning, social or emotional needs
- Implement strategies that promote confidence, independence and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the SENCo, class teacher and external specialists
- Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the pupil you support
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and nurturing school environment

Academic Requirements
To be considered, applicants must hold:
- Strong GCSE and A-Level results
- A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Psychology (or closely related field)
