1:1 and small-group support – Autism
The Role
As a Psychology Graduate, you will provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Autism. You will help students access learning, manage routines and develop confidence in the classroom. Working closely with teachers and the SEN team, you will support pupils with communication, engagement and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

The Candidate
This role will suit a patient, caring and resilient Psychology Graduate who wants to gain meaningful SEN experience. You should be able to build positive relationships with pupils, remain calm in challenging situations and adapt your support to meet individual needs.
Requirements
- 2:2 degree or above in Psychology or a related subject.
- A genuine interest in supporting children with Autism.
- Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
- An interest in educational psychology, clinical psychology, SEN or teaching.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

The School
This SEN school in Selly Oak provides specialist support for pupils with additional needs, including Autism. You will join a dedicated team that focuses on helping every pupil feel safe, supported and able to make progress.
