Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEND School, Birmingham

Are you a recent Psychology Graduate who is fascinated by how young people learn, communicate and develop? A specialist secondary school in Birmingham is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs and help them achieve success both inside and outside the classroom. This role is a great opportunity for a Psychology Graduate to gain practical experience supporting young people with additional learning needs.

The Role

At this school every pupil follows an individual learning programme designed around their strengths and needs. As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant you will provide classroom support, deliver small group interventions and work closely with individual students to improve engagement, communication and academic progress. Working alongside teachers and therapists, you'll help pupils develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

The Candidate

This role requires a Psychology graduate with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children with SEND. The ability to remain calm, adaptable and encouraging is essential. This role is particularly suited to graduates planning careers in psychology, therapy or specialist education.
