Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Reading
ASAP Start - Full-Time Position
Are you a recent Psychology Graduate eager to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a specialist education setting?
A highly regarded SEN and SEMH school in Reading is seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent full-time opportunity for aspiring Clinical, Educational, or Child Psychologists to build practical experience working with children and young people with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex needs.
Working alongside therapists and educators, you will support students aged 5-16 through both academic and emotional challenges. You will play a vital role in promoting positive mental health, supporting behaviour management, and helping to implement therapeutic strategies.

- Role: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant
- Location: Reading
- Salary: £90-£105 per day
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Start Date: ASAP
- Ideal for: Psychology or Criminology Graduates or anyone passionate about supporting children with mental health needs
- Experience: Preferred but not essential
The Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role will allow you to work closely with experienced Psychologists, SENCOs, and Mental Health Professionals and gain experience with Autism, ADHD, Trauma, and Emotional Regulation. Furthermore, you will also learn how to implement individualized education and support plans in a supportive school environment committed to wellbeing and professional growth.
