The Early Intervention Team (EIT) at Kendray Hospital is seeking a band 7 Psychotherapist to deliver specialist interventions to individuals experiencing first-episode psychosis or those at high risk of a psychotic episode. Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Provide specialist psychotherapy skills in a multi-disciplinary team setting, delivering high-quality clinical interventions for individuals with first-episode psychosis, trauma, PTSD, depression, and transdiagnostic anxiety.
  • Offer assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions to reduce relapse risks by addressing underlying trauma and improving coping strategies.
  • Work autonomously within ethical guidelines, service policies, and national frameworks, under the supervision of a senior clinical psychologist or psychotherapist.
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and research aligned with the post’s requirements.

Key Result Areas

  • Provide consultation, supervision, and training to colleagues and interagency partners supporting individuals' mental/emotional well-being.
  • Offer structured CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) for complex mental health conditions, psychoeducational interventions, and risk assessment and management for high-risk cases.

Collaboration and Delivery

  • Work collaboratively with all agencies, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalised person-centred care.
  • Ensure referrals to other services are highlighted and shared decision-making is upheld, supporting the service user to make meaningful choices.
  • Lead group and individual trauma-focused treatments where appropriate to the clinical context.

Professional Development & Practice Standards

  • Maintain up-to-date clinical records, including electronic documentation and report writing.
  • Contribute to CPD (Continuing Professional Development) targets and the personal development plan.
  • Support nominated training to motorcycle traffic officers and other allied health professionals identified by senior line managers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
