Part-time / No Benefits
The Murray Park Center has openings available for responsible, mature, team players to join our staff. You may apply online or in person at the Park Center or Human Resource office. Applications are also available here.
FACILITIES SUPERVISORS:
Pay Rate: $16 - $21 hourly
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING TO FILL WEEKEND DAYS AND WEEKEND EVENINGS
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Maintains the operations of the facility on weekdays, evenings, and weekends in the absence of the Center Director and Assistant Park Center Director.
- Ensures all policies and procedures of the facility are enforced.
- Resolves concerns, conflicts, and problems of patrons, ensuring services are provided in a professional and safe manner.
- Oversees building security and responds to all center emergencies; ensures patron and staff safety; may include snow removal or other necessary duties.
- Supervises, supports, and assists staff.
- Conducts regular walk throughs of the facility to assist in visual maintenance and security.
- Assists front counter personnel with taking fees and monitoring payment of admission fees; assists lifeguard, custodial staff and childcare staff when necessary.
- Completes records and reports as required.
- Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from college with a bachelor's degree and six (6) months experience in management or working in recreation, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Utah Driver License.
- Must be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire.
- Must be willing and able to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
SERVICE DESK/CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Pay Rate: $12 - $18 hourly
WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING TO FILL WEEKNIGHT AND WEEKEND SHIFTS
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Greets customers and administers check-in process, admittance and reservations, and checks them in for facility use.
- Assists with signing up for Center and programs, sells memberships, takes in daily admissions. Collects payment from customers. Registers transactions on computer and issues receipts. Performs cashier responsibilities.
- Answers questions, provides directions and provides explanations regarding the use of facilities. Works scheduled shifts.
- Provides administrative support for the Center by maintaining current information on membership files, release forms, facility usage and report logs.
- Performs general office work; answers telephones; types letters, memos and other information as necessary. Maintains an adequate supply of informational flyers, brochures, and pamphlets.
- Maintains clean environment; performs janitorial duties as required or assigned to include body fluid cleanup, sanitizing area, and light housekeeping.
- Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma plus six (6) months customer service experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing and available to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTORS:
Pay Rate: $19 - $22 hourly
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time; provides adequate warm-up, exercises, stretching, and cool down.
- Instructs effective workout methods; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises, identifies different muscle groups, and trains appropriate methods to provide workouts for clients and participants.
- Prepares appropriate equipment, music, and educational resources.
- Assists patrons, answers questions, and maintains positive exercise experience for participants.
- Keeps management informed of customer and facility needs.
- Ensures that safety standards are met and department and facility policies are adhered to.
- Ensures equipment use and exercises are performed safely.
- May evaluate fitness levels and provide goal setting; may monitor client through strength training and weightlifting; may counsel and educate clients on diet, nutrition, and exercise.
- Creates a workout plan tailored to needs and charts and tracks progress.
- Performs related duties are required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent. Preference given to those with two-year degree in kinesiology, sports medicine, or other related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess current CPR/AED certifications.
- Certified Trainer/Instructor (ACSM, NCSA, NASM, ACE, AFAA) or equivalent. Additional specialty/certifications preferred.
- Certified Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor (minimum one certification.)
- Personal training experience and/or program design experience preferred.
CHILDCARE ATTENDANTS:
Pay Rate: $12.50 - $13.50 hourly
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Provides a clean, safe, and fun childcare environment.
- Checks infants and children in and out while providing basic child care.
- Ensures safe play conditions and follows established security procedures.
- Observes specific parent directions for feeding, nap times, and special needs.
- Treats children if injured and completes accident reports; reports to parents, supervisor, and Center Director.
- Handles complaints and comments and refers comments to proper personnel.
- Performs duties and responsibilities in compliance with childcare licensing requirements; attends a minimum of 10 hours of training each year in workshops or classes on childhood development or childcare guidelines/instructions.
- Maintains clean environment; performs janitorial duties as required or assigned to include body fluid cleanup, sanitizing area, and light housekeeping.
- Performs related duties are required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a T.B. test.
- Must be able to obtain a food handler permit within 30 days of hire.
- Must be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications within 60 days of hire and keep them current throughout employment.
- Must be willing and available to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Previous childcare experience desired.
