Level 3 Personal Training Tutor

We are looking for an experienced Level 3 Personal Training Tutor to support the delivery and assessment of a new Personal Training qualification on a freelance contract basis.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who understands the fitness and personal training sector and can confidently teach, assess and support learners through their Level 3 Personal Training qualification.

As this is a new qualification, we are looking for someone who can bring strong technical knowledge, structure and practical delivery experience from the beginning.

The role will be aligned to our QCCI framework, meaning delivery must be Quality led, Compliant, Commercial and Impactful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective Level 3 Personal Training training sessions.
  • Assess learner work in line with awarding body and internal quality requirements.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner progress and achievement.
  • Support learners to complete their qualification within planned timescales.
  • Review and contribute to teaching, learning and assessment materials where required.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, assessment documentation and compliance paperwork.
  • Work closely with curriculum, quality and operations teams to maintain high standards of delivery.
  • Participate in standardisation and continuous improvement activity.
  • Ensure assessment decisions are valid, reliable, fair and consistent.
  • Support the development of a programme that delivers strong outcomes for learners and employers.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Relevant Level 3 Personal Training qualification.
  • Recognised assessing qualification, such as TAQA, A1, CAVA or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering and assessing Personal Training, Fitness or related qualifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the fitness and personal training sector.
  • Good understanding of awarding body, assessment and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of learner progress.

Desirable

  • Recognised IQA qualification, such as V1, IQA or equivalent.
  • Experience internally quality assuring fitness, sport or Personal Training qualifications.
  • Experience supporting the launch of a new qualification.
  • Experience working within adult education, funded learning or commercial training.

We are looking for someone who can provide more than basic classroom delivery. The right person will be technically strong, confident with learners, comfortable assessing work and capable of taking ownership from day one.

You should be quality focused, organised and able to challenge, improve and strengthen delivery where needed.
