Public Affairs Associate Director – Built Environment Top Independent PR Firm London

Are you a highly experienced Senior Account Director or newly promoted Associate Director looking to work at a top-ranking Built Environment Communications Firm? If so, read on! This is a leading Built Environment Communications Firm works with clients to promote and protect their brands and reputations. The firm offers specialist consultancy support in PR, social media, public affairs, planning comms, strategic media counsel, research & analytics and content marketing.

With a diverse background of over 75 staff across the UK, this independently run, employee-owned firm works together to deliver award-winning communications advice and campaigns.

The Role Job Title: Associate Director Specialisms: Public Affairs Industry Sectors: Built Environment (property developers, infrastructure and construction) Accounts: 3 retained + projects Line Management: 2 (SAM-AD) and overseeing a wider team of 7 staff (AE-AD) Location: London Working Hours: Permanent (hybrid model)

Role responsibilities Shaping and overseeing the strategy, direction and delivery of client programmes Maintaining senior relationships with clients and providing informed advice on often complex issues Developing expert knowledge of our services and sectors to provide the best counsel to clients Leading a sector-focused team, driving lead generation and responding to new business briefs Full commercial responsibility for key clients Leading, developing, and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional client work

Role requirements Previous experience in senior roles either in-house or at equivalent agencies Strong critical thinking and exceptional track record of leading clients and/or teams Proven ability to advise senior stakeholders and consistently deliver exceptional results Up-to-date knowledge of the risks, opportunities, trends and context for Built Environment companies A positive and flexible attitude to work, with the ability to build relationships collaboratively across the business at all levels Ability to mentor and nurture the careers of colleagues by contributing to our learning and development programme.
