Hyatt Regency London Blackfriars is located next to Blackfriars Station in the heart of the City of London, within walking distance of St Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern and the South Bank. This Grade II listed five-star hotel stands on the historic site of King Henry VIII’s Bridewell Palace and features 205 stylish guestrooms and suites along with versatile meeting and event spaces. Dining experiences include NYnLON, a sophisticated yet relaxed bistro bringing the flavours of New York dining culture to London with East Coast classics and seasonal produce, and Leaf and Cane, a vibrant late night bar with live sports screenings, karaoke nights, a dynamic calendar of social events, premium beers and a lively social atmosphere.
Colleagues have the opportunity to work in a distinctive historic setting while welcoming both international business travellers and leisure guests to central London.
Duties and responsibilities related to the Public Area Attendant role
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Ensure meeting rooms, gym areas, lifts, locker rooms, and back-of-house corridors meet hotel hygiene standards.
- Support daily restaurant cleanliness and assist the linen room or perform linen porter duties when required.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks, special cleaning projects, and upkeep of upholstery, carpets, and rugs.
- Monitor and report maintenance issues promptly to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Ensure proper care, usage, and storage of all public area equipment and cleaning tools.
- Complete guest requests via HoTSoS efficiently and professionally.
- Comply with all hotel policies, including lost property, fire safety, security, and health and safety procedures.
- Train new colleagues to ensure high standards and consistent performance.
- Maintain positive working relationships and deliver friendly, professional service at all times.
