As part of our Cloud Platform team, you’ll play a key role in modernising the bank's next-gen infrastructure, partnering with teams to deliver solutions for:
- Analytics & AI/ML (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Composer)
- Databases (Spanner, AlloyDB, Cloud SQL)
- Serverless & Workloads (Cloud Run, Functions)
About the Role
We’re building a high-performance, green, and customer-centric GCP platform. As a Google Cloud Engineer, you’ll focus on:
- Platform Engineering: Designing scalable, secure, and resilient foundations (IAM, networking, observability).
- Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, CI/CD (Harness/GitHub Actions), and policy-as-code (Open Policy Agent, Wiz).
- Multi-Agent AI: Prototyping and deploying AI-driven automation (e.g., Gemini, Copilot Studio) for rapid deployments.
- Collaboration: Working closely with engineering leads, product owners, and security teams to drive roadmaps and unblock delivery.
At Your Core:
- Engineering excellence—delivering end-to-end infrastructure for 100+ internal and external customers.
- Developer experience: Creating self-service golden paths via Backstage, Terraform, and automation.
- Mentorship & growth: Sharing knowledge with junior engineers and contributing to technical communities.
Key Responsibilities
GCP Infrastructure & Platform Design
- Deploy secure, scalable cloud solutions using GCP’s BigQuery, Vertex AI, AlloyDB, Cloud Run, networking stacks (PSC/PSA), and governance tools.
- Lead Terraform module development and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for analytics, AI, and database workloads.
Automation & DevOps
- Build/review CI/CD pipelines (Harness, GitHub Actions) with Python scripting for seamless deployments.
- Design self-healing systems andrastructure, including automated remediation of policy violations and cost optimisation.
Security & Compliance
- Translate security policies into Rego, CEL, or Open Policy Agent (OPA) code, enforcing guardrails via Wiz and Security Health Analytics.
- Partner with security teams to meet regulated industry standards while maintaining agility.

Generative AI Development
- Deploy and refine agentic-AI workflows for deployment and documentation automation (using Gemini, Copilot Studio, and Open Agent).
Team & Process Contribution
- Collaborate on Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, backlogs) and champion process improvements.
- Provide technical leadership across mindset shifts—forcing continuous improvement in transitions to automation.
About You
Your Skills:
- GCP Deep Experience: Proven track record designing and deploying solutions across ancillary services, analytics, AI/ML, and databases.
- IaC Specialist: Mastery of Terraform, CI/CD (Harness/GitHub Actions) and Git workflows.
- Multi-Language Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python, Bash, or Go
- Human-minded Automation: You thrive at yhe intersection of efficiency and human-centric systems.
- Technical Storyteller: Tend to bridge gaps between engineering and business stakeholders.
