About The Role

As a Public Health Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of public health systems across a variety of sectors including Data Centres, commercial, healthcare, education, mixed-use, and complex infrastructure projects.

Working alongside multidisciplinary design teams, you will develop efficient, compliant, and future-focused solutions from concept through to detailed design and construction support.

About You

We are looking for someone who is personable self-starter with the ability to project a positive ‘can do’ professional attitude at all times maintaining good working relationships. Someone who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines being able to establish excellent working rapport within the team, business and with clients, with the ability to work under pressure, handle a varied workload and keep to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence.

Responsibilities

Designing public health systems. Producing calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings. Coordinating designs with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical and structural engineers. Liaise with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard. Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings. Maintain regular ‘in house’ design reviews and checks. Supporting project delivery from feasibility through detailed design and construction stages. Engaging with clients, contractors and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes. Contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering approaches aligned with industry best practice.

Required Qualifications

Educational qualifications to a degree level or equivalent are desired. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Minimum 3 years’ industry experience working for a design consultancy Organise and direct the production of CAD/Revit drawings and correspond effectively with opposite numbers with other consultants. Competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint. Experience using Bluebeam, Revit and AutoCAD The ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times. Familiarity with design software relevant to public health engineering projects. Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients. Supporting graduate team members and sharing technical knowledge where appropriate.
