An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated research assistant to join the Policy and International Health Directorate, to work with the Specialists Projects team and Health Equity team in a split role.

You will bring demonstrable understanding and experience in the application of research methods, both qualitative and quantitative, and an awareness of the principles of evaluation. You will use excellent communication skills to work inside and outside of Public Health Wales.

You will use excellent project management skills for the work you are involved in, ensuring the work programme runs to time and is documented appropriately.

On a day-to-day basis, the post holder will work with the Programme/Project Leads and other members of the team to support the design, delivery and dissemination of research to support public health objectives.

Professionally, they will be managed by the Senior Public Health Specialist.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
