Reporting To: PR Manager / Communications Lead
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Relations Intern to join our dynamic PR team. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various PR functions, including media outreach, content creation, brand communication, and event coordination, while complying with applicable laws, including Sections 44-47 of the UK National Minimum Wage Act 1998, which exempts voluntary workers and work experience programs from wage requirements. In the US, this role aligns with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by focusing on educational benefit and voluntary participation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shadow, learn, and assist PR teams in:
- Drafting press releases and distributing them to media outlets.
- Coordinating and scheduling interviews between spokespeople and journalists.
- Maintaining and updating media contact databases in PR management tools.
- Assisting in organizing PR events, including media briefings and promotional campaigns.
- Supporting efforts to foster brand awareness and positive public perception.
- Identifying media trends and opportunities to improve outreach strategies.
- Coordinating PR campaigns by liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Tracking media coverage and compiling reports for performance evaluation.
- Maintaining accurate PR records, including media clippings and campaign documentation.
- Preparing reports on PR-related metrics, such as engagement and reach.
- Supporting the implementation of PR strategies and ensuring proper communication across teams.
- Assisting in general administrative tasks, including drafting press materials, emails, and presentations.
- Helping draft and update PR policies and media guidelines.
- Participating in internal PR audits to ensure brand consistency.
- Researching industry trends, competitor activities, and PR best practices to provide insights and suggestions.

- Current enrolment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related program.
- Passion for public relations and willingness to learn.
