Role Summary:

To manage and drive forward the delivery of public relations for Genesis Motor UK – to include the continued development and enhancement of the Company’s brand and product visibility across the media landscape and the development of its Corporate Reputation strategy. As the brand shifts towards being recognised as a ‘Design driven performance brand’, GMUK needs a PR manager to play a key role as the brand enters its second decade and 5th year within the UK. Set against a complex and competitive landscape, Genesis needs a creative PR to support in driving our brand presence further and faster.

We want you to:

Brand and Product PR Act as the primary point of contact for all media-related enquiries and communications, providing guidance and support to internal teams, partners, and external stakeholders Build a portfolio of new media outlets aligned to target audiences to ensure Genesis presence with media our target demographic consume Responsible for managing all media relations, media events and media activity for Genesis UK aligned to the strategic direction of Head of Section, including briefing and working with agencies, managing consumer and media focused activations in alignment with business objectives. Drafting media materials, such as press releases, Q&As, statements and commentary for media and customer facing consumption Support Head of Section with defined message house per model to ensure stakeholders and spokespersons are briefed ahead of key engagements or crisis comms. Managing media lists, ensuring accurate and relevant media contact details in accordance to GDPR. Work with Head of Section to develop Genesis retail PR proposition and templates to support retail partners. Planning and execution of specialist events in partnership with Head of Section to support the PR function, including coordinating car launches, product reveals, and media engagement opportunities, working closely with other teams to align event activities with brand messaging and objectives Drive post-activity evaluation and analysis to assess the success, gather media feedback, and capture relevant data and insights to inform future strategies and enhancements Manage the logistics and support the execution of major sponsorships, including overseeing the brand's presence with media at events such as the Genesis Scottish Open and Goodwood Festival of Speed, securing alignment with brand positioning and maximizing brand exposure and engagement opportunities Manage budgets, including tracking and reconciliation of expenses, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve desired outcomes and maximize return on investment

Agency and Industry interactions

To represent the brand with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to build awareness, desire, credibility of Genesis in the UK across industry bodies and regional Motoring Writer groups. Management of the press fleet of circa 17 cars along with the delivery partner to ensure best-in-class media interactions and experience, resolving crisis where needed. Manage a roster of PR and event agencies to support in the conceptualization and implementation of PR campaigns, product launches and PR campaigns within the UK Support the Head of Section in briefing suppliers and manage pitch processes to secure most impactful response to brief. Work closely with European agencies to secure top tier media at global events. Remain abreast of industry trends such as AI use in PR, best practices, and innovations in event management and experiential marketing, leveraging insights to continuously elevate the brand's event offerings and experiences. Represent the brand at SMMT engagements and foster strong relations with regional motoring writer groups.

About you:

Circa 3 years PR experience either in house or at agency level managing a PR function or account Experience of managing multiple agencies ideal Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across in person and digital platforms Creative thinker and solution provider that seeks effective resolution Good team player that can convey clear messages and direction for maximum PR impact Flexible approach to working hours – with weekend working expected for activity delivery
