We are seeking an exceptional Sales Manager to lead Lenovo's UKI Public Sector Client Managers, driving disciplined sales execution, customer engagement, and sustained growth across UKI Public Sector verticals.

This role is responsible for building a high-performing team culture, strengthening account planning, improving pipeline discipline, and expanding Lenovo's position across key Public Sector segments, including Central Government, Local Government, Healthcare, Education, Blue Light, and Defence.

You will embed operational rigour across pipeline management, opportunity progression, and forecast confidence while coaching the team to improve consistency, effectiveness, and share of wallet.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, coaching capability, and a clear focus on customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Managers to achieve revenue, profitability, pipeline, and customer satisfaction objectives while fostering a high-performance, accountable team culture.
  • Drive disciplined sales execution through consistent account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, and regular business reviews to improve forecast accuracy and conversion rates.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies across UKI Public Sector verticals, expanding Lenovo's presence within existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities and increasing share of wallet.
  • Strengthen executive-level customer relationships and position Lenovo as a trusted strategic partner by supporting complex engagements and key customer initiatives.
  • Coach the sales team throughout the entire sales lifecycle, improving opportunity progression, stakeholder engagement, competitive positioning, and commercial negotiations.
  • Drive systematic new customer acquisition by identifying whitespace opportunities, leveraging procurement frameworks, and collaborating with marketing and partners on targeted demand generation activities.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, services, commercial, bid management, pricing, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of complex Public Sector opportunities.
  • Monitor business performance through defined KPIs, proactively identifying risks, removing obstacles, and implementing improvement plans to achieve consistent sales excellence.
  • Champion continuous improvement by embedding best practices, sales methodologies, operational discipline, and data-driven decision making across the team.

Position Requirements

  • Proven experience leading enterprise technology sales teams, ideally within the UK Public Sector environment.
  • Strong understanding of Public Sector procurement, buying frameworks, governance models, and customer decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high-performing sales professionals while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles, pipeline governance, forecasting, and revenue delivery within enterprise accounts.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience driving account growth through strategic account planning, cross-selling, and upselling solutions and services.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence senior customer stakeholders, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data and sales metrics to drive performance, pipeline health, and business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English.
