Job Description

Job Title: Publicist - 3-Month FTC

Your New Role: Publicist

We’re looking for an experienced publicist to join the communications team at Global.

As a Publicist you’ll generate high profile, impactful press coverage for Global’s entertainment brands and initiatives, including Heart, Capital, Radio X, Official Big Top 40 by Global, Global Player, Global Original podcasts and Global’s Make Some Noise. You’ll be working with A-list talent on world famous brands in a wide and varied role.

Key Responsibilities

As a Publicist at Global, you will:

  • Support the Head of Publicity on publicity for Capital, Heart and Radio X and Global’s entertainment podcasts.
  • Work with the Head of Publicity and Programming teams to generate ideas to drive coverage, and you’ll respond quickly to show content to maximise coverage.
  • Work on publicity plans for, and media management at, some of Global’s live events.
  • Lead the PR activity for your brands on the annual campaign for Global’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise.
  • Develop messaging and media materials such as press releases, media alerts.
  • Organise and oversee photoshoots.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists at target media outlets and with key internal and external stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
