Job Description

Based in London and reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Publicity, the UPCG Publicity team is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and project management of integrated publicity campaigns across all UPCG and select Focus Features releases globally across the entire lifecycle of the release – from pre-production through to production, theatrical, home entertainment, TV/SVOD and beyond!

The team’s purpose is to ensure all campaigns meet strategic objectives and support business priorities. We consistently collaborate with internal and external teams to provide strategic publicity input alongside broader marketing strategy contributions to ensure the execution of holistic marketing campaigns globally. The Global Publicity team not only works on a global strategical level but is also here to work with local publicity teams to understand specific local market strategies, concerns and nuances.

The role reports to the Director, Publicity and can include travel and work outside of office hours. The Publicity Assistant role will underpin the work of the entire team. This role is trusted to support the rest of the team in the implementation of strategic campaigns across a range of PR campaigns. A passion for the film industry is essential and excellent organisation and quality communication is key. You’ll need to be proactive and resourceful with the ability to pre-empt what is required for your campaigns and by the wider team. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, driven to contribute to the team and have a positive can-do attitude. Experience in entertainment PR is not essential but experience at a Junior Publicist or Account Executive - Senior Account Executive level in a similar role is desirable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
