Publicity Intern
Publicity Intern – 12-Month Placement at Paramount Pictures UK
About the Role
Lights, camera, action. Paramount Pictures UK is seeking a creative, driven intern to join their Publicity team for a full-time, paid 12-month placement at their Chiswick studios.
If you're eager to kickstart a career in film, this role offers a front-row seat to how our blockbusters reach audiences across the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Publicity, this internship will give you hands-on experience in press strategy, event coordination, and media management—right at the cutting edge of one of the world’s most iconic film studios.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the engine room of the Publicity team, ensuring the rollout of Paramount’s biggest releases in the UK lives up to expectations. Your tasks will include:
Press & Events Coordination
- Run press screenings:
- Book and monitor FDA-approved screening dates (including Scottish National Press Show and release-week "mop-ups").
- Arrange catering, security, and hosting for day and night screenings, including the Week of Release Showcase.
- Service the press:
- Distribute titles, images, and supporting materials via the Paramound Media Management platform.
- Send press releases (including date changes) and updates for the upcoming slate.
- Maintain and update the overcoming slate calendar.
- Manage invites and RSVPs via email.
Talented & Press Logistics
- Power the junkets:
- Oversee check-in desks and talent press appearances.
- Compile, review, and distribute actor franchises/talent folders.
- Coordinate travel and transport for press and talent.
- Track and report:
- Maintain and update weekly publicity calendars and minutes.
- Keep media review notes and competitive literature current.
- Log all film reviews for Head Office/Marketing teams.
Administration & Tech Support
- Redefine the bespoke PPUK media contact lists (via our database agency).
- Track POs (Purchase Orders) and credit card spend on the franchise marketing budget.
- Book meeting rooms and catering as needed.
- Serve as the FDA’s first point of contact for publicity-related queries.
- Liaise directly with journalists, National Reviewers, and trade press (iTV, Screen International, etc.).

What You’ll Bring
Paramount is looking for a polished, agile, and proactive go-getter. You should ideally match:
- Recent school/university leaver:
- A bachelor’s degree in:
- Business,
- Marketing,
- Media,
- Journalism, OR
- an equivalent corporate experience substituting for qualifications and enthusiasm.
- A bachelor’s degree in:
- Think English skills: Fluent in **spoken and written professional communication.
- A force of nature with:
- Twizzlehood managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- A scalable organisat (eg converting-chair organization) skills.
- Unflinching attention to detail in everything you do.
- Limpressive potent under pressure when a filming empire’s release schedule changes last-minute.
- Ephemeral people skills to coordinate both internal and external teams (press, filmmakers).
- Technological fluency:
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willingness to work outside of normal hours (e.g. late-night screenings).
- Good-cool with CRMs/ERPs/wear media platforms.

Eligibility
All applicants must:
- Be 18+ years old and either:
- A recent leaver (within 12 months) or
- An undergraduate recent graduate.
- Hold legal right to full-time UK work (proof may be requested in the process).
- Have an UK bank account under own name.
