Business Development Manager or Senior Business Development Manager
About the Role
Our client – an award-winning online media & advertising solution (200+ employees, London-based) – is expanding internationally and seeking a Business Development Manager or Senior Business Development Manager to acquire publishers in the US market and other growth regions.
The role is based in London (operating within standard UK hours) and is part of a high-performing Publisher Business Development (BD) team, spanning London and NYC.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a growth strategy to identify and onboard new publishers
- Create and execute a repeatable, scalable approach to new business development, with a goal of:
- Engaging 20+ prospects per week
- Delivering 3–5 pitches per week
- Focus on the US market, with support on UK-based pitches as needed—especially when there’s a multi-market opportunity
- Utilise collateral, events, and digital tools to engage target publishers
- Secure meetings and effectively pitch the benefits of partnering with our client’s award-winning advertising and audience solutions
- Collaborate with peers in the Publisher Business Development team, while partnering with Account Management, Strategy, Marketing, and Operations when required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Deep experience in AdTech, MediaTech, or Programmatic Ads ecosystems
- Expertise in understanding publishers’ challenges and opportunities in a rapidly evolving industry
- Proven background in new business sales or new business development
- Strong record of performance and achievement with a strong sales and sales-target mindset

- Experience working in or with the US market—or demonstrate transferable US-market selling ability
- Hunter mentality—comfortable with cold outreach (balanced with warm introduction tactics)
- Proficiency in sales tools to implement multi-touch campaigns that drive meaningful connections
- Positive, persistent, and goal-driven with a natural selling instinct
- Self-organised, adaptive, and coachable
- Ambitious and eager for visibility across the business, while sharing learnable success stories internally
