Job Description:

When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” You'll practice big-city medicine with a small-city feel.

About this role:

As a Physician in Critical Care medicine you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. You will be an integral member of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team caring for complex, critically ill patients. In this role you can anticipate:

  • Practicing at St. Mary's Regional Hospital located in Grand Junction, CO
  • Providing care in a 32-bed mixed medical/surgical ICU with a schedule of 24 weeks per year, working 7-day blocks of 12-hour shifts (.8 FTE)
  • Working alongside two physicians during the day, and serving as the sole ICU provider overnight.
  • Performing advanced pulmonary procedures, including advanced bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
  • Qualified candidates will have the training and experience necessary to perform these procedures independently.

How we'll support you:

  • Competitive Compensation: $465,000.00 annually, plus wRVU production incentives
  • wRVU Compensation Model:
    • wRVU Threshold: 4,990 wRVUs per year; $62.00 per wRVU above threshold
    • Quality Incentive: Up to $50,000 annually
    • Excess/PRN Shift Rate: $2,818 per 12-hour shift
    • Incentives: $30,000 starting bonus, up to $20,000 relocation assistance (if applicable), $75,000 Student Loan Assistance (if applicable)

What you’ll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • ACGME accredited residency training in Internal Medicine
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
