Location: London & South East
Salary: £45,000+ per year (depending on experience) + overtime opportunities

Maclin Pumps is looking for an experienced Pump Engineer to join our growing team, covering London and the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to join an established, family-run business with over 50 years of industry experience and a strong reputation for quality service.

You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of pump engineering works, including reactive breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance, servicing and new installations across commercial, industrial and residential environments.

The Role

As a Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of pumping systems, including:
    • Sewage and wastewater pump sets
    • Submersible pumps
    • Booster sets
  • Carrying out planned maintenance visits and servicing
  • Attending reactive breakdowns and fault finding
  • Completing pump installation projects and commissioning
  • Providing excellent customer service while representing Maclin Pumps on-site
  • Travelling across London and the South East (travel time is included in pay)

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Pump Engineer who can work independently and confidently on a range of pumping systems.

You will need:

  • Proven experience working as a Pump Engineer
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with pump maintenance, repairs and installations
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A full UK driving licence

No formal qualifications are required for the right candidate — we are committed to investing in our people and will provide training and development opportunities where required.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday–Friday working pattern
  • Minimum 42 hours per week
  • Lots of opportunity for additional weekend work and overtime
  • On-call weekend rota (approximately one weekend every 6 weeks)
  • Company van provided for work use
  • Workwear, PPE and tools provided
  • Travel time included in pay
  • Competitive salary of £45,000+ (plus overtime) depending on experience
  • Ongoing training and career development
