Archer UK – Pumping Supervisor (Offshore, Rotational 3/3)
Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for Pumping Supervisors to register their interest in joining the team upon the award of a large upcoming project.
The successful candidates will lead the delivery of Pumping Jobs as part of a Coil Tubing Team offshore. You will perform supervisory tasks relating to fluid pumping operations in well services activities (including chemicals like acid, solvent, cement, etc.) and nitrogen pumping.
In addition, this role will include supporting Wireline operations as and when required.
This will be a 3/3 rotational offshore role, joining on a full-time, permanent basis. This role requires both day shift and night shift cover.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively ensure that health & safety of all is preserved at all times.
- Report all accidents, incidents, or any unsafe conditions. Take necessary steps to prevent damage to property, plant, equipment, and environment.
- Participate in toolbox talks, record all information, understand and carry out a risk assessment for any given task.
- Be fully aware of and understand the clients’ permit to work. Raise the appropriate permit and act as supervisor for the work to be undertaken.
- Carry out the operation of equipment in accordance with the Company’s Safety and Coiled Tubing Division Operating Procedures.
- Conduct general maintenance and pre-job checks of equipment as required to ensure equipment status and availability.
- Rig up/down, operate the equipment, and carry out pre-job checks in compliance with HSE procedures, client permit to work, and Archer Coiled Tubing Procedures.
- Check system lineups, complete check sheets prior to pressure testing. Report any conflict of interest or deviation from procedure to the Company/Client representative.
- Assist in the training of junior company personnel as required.
- Keep the Engineer or senior Supervisor informed of:
- Changes to the procedure
- Client’s instructions
- Equipment status
- Any faults which may occur
- Ensure adequate shift handovers are performed and documented, and that all personnel on shift are briefed on work to be undertaken.
- Record all data required for job reporting and ensure all paperwork is complete and presented to the client for signing at the end of the job and during the post-job meeting.
- Ensure that all equipment is returned onshore, and that all items have been checked off against the outward manifest. Highlight any equipment shortages and charge for them on the field ticket.
- Perform the role of slickline “3rd man” during multi-discipline operations, including:
- Rig-up of stack
- Running the bottom hole assembly (BHA)
- Once competent, running the slickline unit under supervision.

Requirements:
- Two-year technical degree preferred.
- Fluid and nitrogen pumping experience essential.
- Basic preventive maintenance skills.
- Slickline operations experience desired (preferred).
- Team player mentality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive Approach.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
