Female Punjabi-Speaking Live-in Care Assistant – Gillingham
Weekly Rate: £885 per week Enhanced pay for Public Holidays

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Punjabi-speaking Live-in Care Assistant to support a client in Gillingham.
As a Live-in Care Assistant, you will:
- Live in the client’s home for agreed periods
- Provide companionship, practical support, and personal care
- Help the client remain safe, comfortable, and independent
- Communicate effectively in Punjabi to meet the client's cultural and language needs
Essential Requirements
Before applying, you must meet the following:
- Previous care experience (essential)
- Previous live-in care experience (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to speak Punjabi fluently
- Full legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship or Certificate of Sponsorship provisioned)
- Caring, mature, and professional approach
- Ability to live in a client’s home for agreed periods
- Good cooking skills and the ability to prepare a variety of meals
- An enhanced DBS certificate
- Ideally live in or near the Medway area and be able to attend the Gillingham office for interviews and induction training
- (Preferred) Driving licence (but not essential)

Typical Duties
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with morning and bedtime routines
- Supporting personal care and daily living activities
- Medication administration and assistance
- Supporting clients with dementia
- Meal planning and preparation
- Providing companionship and social engagement, including hobbies, shopping trips, and outings
- Performing light housekeeping and household tasks
- Promoting independence and wellbeing
- Offering reassurance and emotional support
Working Pattern
Live-in placements are tailored to individual needs, with common arrangements like:
- One week on / one week off
- Two weeks on / one week off
- Three weeks on / one week off
We will work with you to develop a schedule that fits both your needs and our clients’.
Location
This role is based with a client in Gillingham. Should your placement end, we will support redeployment to another suitable live-in role within our network, helping maintain steady work and income.
