Role: Leith Primary School
Salary & Working Pattern
- Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
- Hours: 27.5 per week, across 39 weeks (sessional)
- Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday (8.30 AM – 3.15 PM), Friday (8.30 AM – 12.15 PM)
About the Role
Leith Primary School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Pupil Support Assistant to join their team. This position involves:
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional support needs
- Assisting in a classroom setting under the guidance of the teacher
Critical Note: This is regulated work under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. As part of the application process, candidates will be required to join or update their PVG Scheme. If the candidate has spent 3+ months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be needed. Employment will be contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.

Salary Structure
Pay progression follows an initial salary with annual increments until reaching the top of the bracket.
Flexible Working
