Role Description: To provide dedicated support to the Purchase Ledger Clerk, ensuring supplier paperwork is accurately matched and filed, invoices are captured promptly, and purchase ledger queries are resolved efficiently. This role is central to improving the speed and accuracy of purchase ledger processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Capturing supplier invoices from the Purchases mailbox onto the system
- Matching paperwork to GRNs (goods received notes) and filing accurately
- Printing and filing supplier statements
- Supporting resolution of supplier queries, escalating to the Purchase Ledger Clerk where needed
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
- Supporting the Purchase Ledger Clerk with ad hoc tasks and process improvements as required

Skills Required
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role
- Good communicator
- Attention to detail
- Comfortable working closely as part of a small team
- High level of accuracy, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Previous experience in a finance role within distribution, foodservice, or a similar environment is an advantage.
