Purchase Ledger Executive
Salary: £30,000
Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Full Time: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Our client is a UK-based company specialising in the distribution of chemicals and the production of premium alcoholic beverages. The company supplies solvents, specialty chemicals, and bespoke blends to a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, personal care, automotive, and manufacturing.
In addition to its chemical distribution business, our client operates a premium drinks division producing and supplying high-quality spirits such as gin and vodka to both own-label and branded customers worldwide.
The company focuses on quality, flexibility, and strong customer partnerships, supported by its nationwide distribution network, specialist blending capabilities, and commitment to industry standards and sustainability.
The Role:
The Purchase Ledger Executive is responsible for the effective processing and payment of all supplier invoices.
Responsibilities:
- Input all supplier invoices in a timely manner
- Where relevant, match invoice to purchase orders and check the pricing, receipting, and coding of invoices
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries
- Act as the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
- File and scan invoices
- Upload payment runs to the banking system
- Add new beneficiaries to the banking system
- Post daily banking entries
- Support the rest of the accounts team as requested
- Credit Control & Sales Ledger cover as required
- Ensure a proactive approach to Health, Safety, and Environment by role modeling appropriate behaviours to set departmental standards

- Demonstrable experience working as part of an Accounts Team
- Experience of posting transactions to accounting and other systems and of associated functions such as credit control. Experience of working effectively with ERP and finance systems would be beneficial
