Dunsters Farm - Purchase Ledger Clerk

Dunsters Farm is a third-generation family business that's grown into one of the fastest expanding foodservice suppliers in the North West and we're not slowing down. We supply schools, hospitals, care homes, cafés, and restaurants across the North of England, and behind every delivery is a finance team that keeps the business running accurately and on time.

Following the recent acquisition and integration of another business into the group, we're building a new, centralised finance function at our Bury head office and this Purchase Ledger Clerk role sits right at the heart of it. You'll have a Purchase Ledger Administrator supporting you day to day, freeing you up to focus on the parts of the role that need real judgement and experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning the day-to-day purchase ledger: invoice processing, supplier queries, payment runs and remittances
  • Matching invoices to goods received notes and resolving discrepancies with the buying team
  • Preparing and maintaining monthly accruals
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Directing the day-to-day work of the Purchase Ledger Administrator
  • Working closely with the Sales Ledger and Credit Control team to keep processes consistent and provide cover across the wider finance function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
