Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Knottingley (Fully On-site)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
Robert Half is partnering with a client to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to manage the full end-to-end purchase ledger process.
This is a busy, high-volume role where you will be responsible for processing, reconciling, and controlling approximately 1,000 invoices per month, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and effective supplier account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and accurately code incoming supplier invoices into the purchase ledger system.
- Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and supplier statements.
- Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and goods received notes (GRNs).
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Ensure company payment terms and approval workflows are adhered to.
- Support month-end processes and assist the finance team where required.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and respond to supplier queries promptly.

About You
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position.
- Confident managing a high-volume invoice workload.
- Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software (experience using an ERP system is desirable).
- Able to work independently and prioritise a busy workload.
