About the Role
Looking for a flexible remote finance role?
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a growing finance team on a part-time remote basis. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Finance Administration, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeping, Accounting Support, or anyone looking to build a long-term career in finance.
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you'll support the finance department by processing supplier invoices, maintaining accurate purchase ledger records, reconciling supplier accounts, and ensuring payments are completed accurately and on time.
Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced finance professionals, graduates, and career changers.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will:
- Process supplier invoices accurately using finance systems.
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Maintain the purchase ledger and supplier accounts.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate invoice queries.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Update accounting records and financial databases.
- Support month-end finance activities.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices and payments.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant.
- Support the wider finance and accounting team with administrative duties.

We're looking for candidates who are organised, accurate, and enjoy working with financial information. You may have experience as a:

- Accounts Payable Assistant
- Accounts Assistant

- Finance Officer
You'll also have:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
