We are seeking a dedicated Finance Administrator/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team and support our financial operations.
Job Description
As a Finance Administrator/Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and contribute to the financial health of the company. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented and passionate about finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes with accuracy and proper authorisation.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage and post expense claims from 30 employees.
- Prepare and process payment runs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the Head of Finance with various accounting tasks and projects.
- Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Cover for sales ledger person during holidays/illness.

Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in a similar role (Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, Finance Administrator). Min 2 years in a previous finance function.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, particularly Sage.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Self-discipline and a focused work ethic.

Requirements
- Ability to work legally in the UK and we do NOT accept student visas
- At least 2 years of Relevant professional qualifications, such as AAT fully qualified or ACCA
- Good written and spoken English
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' work experience in a similar role.
Package
- £32-£35k PA + BONUS
