Position Details

  • Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum

About the Role

At MNM Property Services, we see strong purchasing support as vital to our success in the social housing sector. We are looking for a responsible, organised, and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team in London. You’ll play a critical role in supporting procurement processes, ensuring smooth operations, cost efficiency, and timely project delivery.

As the backbone of our purchasing department, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing records

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Negotiation

    • Prepare and obtain quotations
    • Negotiate competitive prices with suppliers
  • Order & Delivery Coordination

    • Source materials, products, and services
    • Process, monitor, and coordinate purchases and deliveries with suppliers and warehouses
  • Internal & External Liaison

    • Collaborate with internal departments to meet purchasing needs
    • Resolve supplier, delivery, or order-related issues promptly

  • Administrative & Record Keeping

    • Maintain up-to-date purchasing records, spreadsheets, and reports (primarily in Excel)
    • Support stock control and ensure required materials are available when needed
  • General Support

    • Provide administrative assistance to the team
    • Assist with additional tasks as required

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administration is preferred
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong Excel proficiency (data management, reporting)
    • Good general computer and office equipment knowledge
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
    • Comfortable working as part of a team
