Job Summary As Purchasing and Planning Manager you will oversee the end-to-end flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods. You will manage inventory accuracy, supervise warehouse staff, and collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure the right supplies are available at the right time to meet production schedules without budget overruns
Responsibilities
Supplier Control: Lead the buying team to improve on lead times, inventory costs, supplier on time delivery and communication. Inventory Control: Lead physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconcile variances to maintain optimal stock levels. Team Leadership: Train and manage Buyers, Warehouse Staff, Production Planner and Material Handlers. Workflow Coordination: Work with production and planning teams to ensure a seamless flow of parts to the factory floor. Supplier & Logistics Liaison: Track supplier on-time delivery and assist with receiving and storing shipments. Continuous Improvement: Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to reduce operational costs, streamline storage, and eliminate waste. Compliance: Ensure all material handling and storage activities adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental protocols

Basic Qualifications
CIPS / APICS qualification desirable or qualified by experience. A degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements Fully site based, occasional travel to suppliers/customers

Key Competencies
System Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (Preferably SAP). Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyse material metrics, lead times, and safety stock levels. Communication: Excellent coordination skills to bridge the gap between purchasing, floor supervisors, and suppliers. Problem Solving: Capability to identify supply chain bottlenecks and resolve material discrepancies quickly
