About the Role
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? We're looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to join our client as a Purchasing and Supply Chain Administrator. In this varied and hands-on role, you'll be at the heart of the business, liaising with suppliers, supporting operations, and helping to drive efficiency across the supply chain.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. With clear progression opportunities available, this role is ideal for someone ambitious, driven, and eager to grow into a future leadership position.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key supply chain partners, including suppliers and logistics providers, to improve communication, optimise lead times, ensure timely order fulfilment, and uphold high quality standards across all deliveries.
- Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improved gross profit margins through effective procurement strategies, including "better buying" practices such as negotiating pricing, reviewing supplier performance, and analysing purchasing trends.
- Support the expansion and optimisation of the supply chain network by identifying and onboarding new suppliers, diversifying sourcing options, and improving supply chain resilience to meet business growth and operational demands.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
