Purchasing Assistant – Global FMCG Business - Monday to Friday | Full Time in the office in Essex
Futures are partnering with a leading player in the FMCG sector, dedicated to providing high-quality and innovative products to consumers worldwide. This business supplies throughout the UK, Europe, and the Far East and Middle East, and they have experienced excellent growth over the past few years, with a current turnover of £40m and a team of 100+ employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for purchasing/buying looking to kickstart or further enhance their career. You'll play a key role in ensuring materials and products are ordered efficiently, supplier relationships are maintained, and purchasing processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Purchasing team with the day-to-day management of purchase orders.
- Raise and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, pricing, and any queries.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update internal systems.
- Monitor supplier delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure stock and material requirements are met.
- Assist with reporting and data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure all purchasing documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide general administrative support to the Procurement team.

About You:
- Previous experience in a Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Assistant, Buying Assistant, or similar role is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Excellent time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Confident learning new systems and processes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong IT and computer literacy.
