Procurement & Supplier Management Lead
£60,000 pa + bonus and benefits Location: Leeds
About the Role
Fast-growing supplier of electrical components, systems, and ancillary items to:
- OEMs
- Panel builders
- Industrial automation businesses
- Specialist engineering customers
Seeking an experienced purchasing professional to join the senior leadership team, driving strategic transformation across:
- Procurement & Supplier Management
- Inventory Optimisation & Forecasting
- Commercial & Operational Leadership
Key Responsibilities
Working alongside the senior leadership team, this role requires:
- Restructuring and optimising the purchasing function, systems, and processes
- Implementing "best practice" frameworks
- Leading a small team in acquiring technical and commercial talent
- Fostering strong relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Senior Buyer, or Procurement Lead within a similar technical environment
- Deep expertise in:
- Negotiation, supplier and people management
- ERP/MRP systems (practical familiarity)
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on ** operational efficiency
Nice to Have
- Experience in a fast-paced procurement environment with a clear upward trajectory
- Familiarity with KPI-based performance frameworks for supplier collaboration
