Role of Purchasing Manager
The role of Purchasing Manager in a busy industry requires a detail-oriented individual to oversee procurement activities and optimise supplier relationships. Based in Hove, this position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the organisation.

Description
- Manage the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant teams to meet operational needs.
- Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations in all purchasing activities.
- Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Prepare regular reports on purchasing performance and supplier evaluations.

Profile
A Successful Purchasing Manager Should Have
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
- Proficiency in analysing data and market trends.
- Experience working in the retail industry or similar sectors.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of accounting and finance principles is advantageous.
