Medicareplus International
Medicareplus International is a UK medical-device company specialising in barrier protection and wound-care products supplied to the NHS and international markets. We are a growing, fast-moving business where the supply chain sits at the heart of everything we do — getting the right regulated products to clinicians and patients, reliably and efficiently.
We’re looking for a hands-on Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to own our purchasing and supply chain function end-to-end — from forecasting and procurement through to production planning, inventory, and warehouse and logistics oversight. You’ll lead a small team and work closely with senior management, QA, marketing and our international partners.
This is not a maintain-the-status-quo role. A core part of the job is to modernise how we work: we want someone who will actively use AI and automation to take the manual effort out of forecasting, reporting, purchasing and reconciliation — freeing the team to focus on supplier development and resilience as we scale.
This is an office-based role based at our head office in Alperton.
Responsibilities:
- Own raw-material and finished-goods purchasing, supplier selection and PO management, in line with our purchasing strategy.
- Build and stress-test demand forecasts over a rolling 12-month horizon, factoring in marketing and international activity.
- Maintain the production planning schedule and keep stock at optimal levels while driving OTIF performance.
- Manage supplier relationships, chair regular supplier meetings, and continuously source new partners that add value or resilience.
- Oversee warehouse space planning, logistics-provider relationships and stock-movement processes, including temperature monitoring of regulated stock.
- Ensure procurement compliance (including the Procurement Act 2023) and support QA with batch documentation.
- Lead, develop and support your two-person team, and resolve customer and supply escalations.
- Identify and deliver AI and automation improvements across the function — measured in hours saved and errors reduced.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
