Purview M365 Data Labelling Solution Architect
Microsoft Purview / Data Labelling Solution Architect – x 2 Roles
Contract | Initial 6 Months | Outside IR35 | Remote (UK) | £500 per day
About the Role
We’re partnering with a global technology consultancy to support a major international consumer products organisation undergoing a major Microsoft 365 security and data governance transformation.
As part of a broader information protection programme, we’re seeking two experienced Microsoft Purview / Data Labelling Solution Architects to lead the design, implementation, and governance of Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Purview capabilities across the enterprise.
This is an ideal opportunity for architects to shape enterprise data governance, security, and compliance strategies in a highly regulated, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of:
- Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)
- Sensitivity Labelling across Microsoft 365
- Design enterprise-wide data classification frameworks, ** labelling taxonomies**, and governance models
- Implement key Microsoft Purview capabilities, including:
- Information Protection
- Sensitivity Labels
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Data Discovery & Classification
- Compliance Management
- Assess existing data landscapes and develop strategic roadmaps for Purview adoption
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Legal, and business stakeholders to:
- Identify sensitive information
- Define appropriate protection controls
- Provide architectural leadership and best-practice guidance during migration from legacy data labelling solutions to Microsoft Purview
- Ensure solutions align with regulatory, compliance, and corporate security requirements

Required Experience
Strong hands-on expertise in: ✔ Microsoft Purview solution design and implementation in enterprise environments ✔ Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Microsoft 365 Security, Sensitivity Labels, Auto Labelling, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) ✔ Enterprise data governance and information protection strategies ✔ Stakeholder management (technical and non-technical audiences) ✔ Working within large-scale transformation programmes

Desirable Experience
🔹 Previous experience in regulated or global organisations 🔹 Familiarity with Microsoft Compliance Centre & Security Ecosystem 🔹 Microsoft Security or Purview certifications
