PV Engineer – Domestic Solar PV Systems – SO Postcode Area

We’re looking for a skilled, passionate PV Engineer in the SO postcode area to deliver high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repairs for domestic solar PV systems. If you thrive on technical excellence with a "first-time fix" mindset, this could be an exciting opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
As our PV Engineer, you’ll be the face of our technical service team, ensuring solar PV systems perform optimally. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting faults on domestic PV systems, including:
- Inverters
- String configurations
- Optimisers
- Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise system longevity and safety
- Conducting component replacements (inverters, DC isolators, or solar panels)
- Completing minor electrical upgrades as needed
- Ensuring all work complies with BS 7671 standards and accurate record-keeping
- Providing clear, professional guidance to homeowners on system health and performance

Requirements
We’re looking for candidates with:
- A NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical engineering (or equivalent)
- Current 18th Edition (BS 7671) certification
- Proven experience in installation, servicing, or maintenance of Solar PV systems
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills and comfort working at heights
- A valid, clean UK driving licence
- Ability to produce detailed, digital job reports
