Role Overview

I am currently seeking a hands-on Python Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement the automation capability supporting the ISR.13 data masking control. You will participate in discovery workshops and take ownership of the end-to-end build, testing, and deployment of an automated masking solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support data masking discovery workshops alongside the Managing Consultant and client SMEs to validate scope, understand data discovery report formats, and confirm standard data-type to masking-technique mappings.
• Develop automation that consumes application data discovery reports and identifies sensitive columns and associated data types across database schemas.
• Build and maintain a mapping engine that translates discovered data types into the appropriate IDMC masking methods (e.g., Name Substitution, Email Masking, SSN Masking, Phone Number Masking), generating the required rule parameters automatically.
• Automate the creation and configuration of masking tasks through the Informatica IDMC REST API (/api/v2/mttask), eliminating manual task setup activities.
• Implement repeatable, seeded masking processes to ensure consistent masking outcomes and maintain referential integrity across related datasets and tables.
• Execute and monitor masking jobs through the IDMC REST API, incorporating robust exception handling, logging, and retry mechanisms.
• Generate masking execution reports to provide audit evidence and support CDO and SDLC release gate requirements.
• Identify and route exception scenarios, including unsupported platforms or unstructured data sources, through defined manual handling processes.
• Support the migration, deployment, and validation of the automation solution across laboratory, non-production, and production environments.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Actively contribute to Agile delivery activities, including stand-ups, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
