New Role at UK Insurance Startup

This is a brand new role with a UK Insurance Startup building from the ground up. AI will be core to their product. The founding team is being formed now and they need a Senior Django Developer to own the Django foundations and set the standard for how their product gets built.

This is a unique chance to join a founding team with a track record of taking Insurance businesses to market. They will be running lean and using AI to maximise customer experience while providing an excellent product to the UK Insurance markets.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Owning the Django architecture across models, migrations, app boundaries and the processes everyone follows
  • Making the calls on where logic lives, from the model layer through services and views
  • Owning the Developer Experience. Making the local dev setup something new engineers can pick up quickly, and keeping the CI loop tight enough that they can ship on day one.
  • Setting the technical bar as the first Senior Django voice in the team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Real production experience with AI coding tools, and a clear view on when to lean on them
  • Comfortable in the fuzzy space of a startup.
