Python Developer

Senior Python Developer

Reading / Hybrid £60,000 - £80,000 + benefits Sector: LegalTech / IP Management SaaS

We are working with a growing business in the LegalTech space that is investing in its engineering capability following a recent acquisition.

They are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a collaborative product engineering team and play a key role in both platform integration and technical upskilling.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on software engineering with mentoring, coaching and raising standards across a team. The environment would suit a senior engineer who likes solving real product problems, improving delivery quality and helping others develop confidence in Python and Django.

The role

  • Build and maintain product features using Python, Django and, where relevant, React
  • Support the integration of acquired platform capability into a broader product estate
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, code review and practical technical guidance
  • Help improve engineering standards across code quality, testing and delivery practices
  • Work closely with product and design to turn requirements into well-scoped, well-built features

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
